You don't really the need the frontend... Using the commandline version with no options specified should work for what you need 99% of the time.

I would like to request that a command line option be
added to prevent logging to a file. It would also be
great if there was an option to reduce the amount of
text being written in the command line, maybe not
showing the addition of each individual file during
rearchiving or something along those lines.
