We are proud to announce release 0.8 of Trentino Release 0.8 adds a major feature to Trentino. With Service discovery, configuration, deployment and operation of Services on devices is made simple and cost efficient. Trentino Service discovery makes use of the standard SLP discovery protocol to implement a distributed service discovery. With release 0.8 the first of a serie of reusable services is provided. Preference service is a general purpose service to store data persistently, based on the OSGI preference service API. New features: - Remote service discovery (now supports binding.sca only) - Preference service - Contribution versioning - Contribution update - Cross-contribution artefacts import/export - Trengen configuration files support - Many Bugs fixes - Demo application for windows (supports loacal and remote invocation and service discovery) Refer to http://trentino.sourceforge.net/index.html for latest user documentation.
