Thx for your very quick response. Do you have any ideas on how I can make the filter actually work given your response? How do I "unskew" the vectors - as practically there is never going to be an even distribution of documents in each category? Many thanks.

First of all, I believe vectors are skewed. If you have an uneven distribution of documents (50 in one cateorgy, 5 in another) then the data will be less accurate. As for the percentage, please see the ./includes/suxNaiveBayesian.php file. I am not a mathematician. My implementation is based on examples by Loic d'Anterroches and Ken Williams. URLS to their respective project pages are at...

  • Everything at 100% or 0%

Hi there, I am a user of sux0r, rather than a technical expert, so please forgive any naivity of my question.... I am using sux0r to categorise feeds into 17 different categories. So far, there are approximately 350 documents filtered, with 50+ in some categories, down to as few as 5 in others. I have noticed that recently, EVERYTHING in sux0r is either 100% in one category, or 0%...

Hi Steve, Glad to hear you are using Sux0r. 1) Please see the ./includes/suxNaiveBayesian.php file. I am not a mathematician. My implementation is based on examples by Loic d'Anterroches and Ken Williams. URLS to their respective project pages are at the top of that file. You'll will want to look at the categorize() and rescale() methods. You are misinterpreting logspace scaling...

  • Baysian Filter Operation

Hello Dac, A few items, I don’t know if you can help/comment on any of these. [please excuse the length of this stuff…..] 1) I am using sux0r to pull in job roles from various RSS feeds into our job role website. Jobs are trained and categorised to the required display category so they are displayed as such on our CMS website, ie. I amended sux0r to publish rss_items and repeat the...

I think, perhaps, you are confusing the sux0r project with the goals of the ICBL Bayesian Feed Filtering project? Maybe you are contacting the wrong people? The URL you provided is an RSS feed. Yes it will work fine. Other than the specifics of the content, there's no difference between the URL you provided or any other RSS feed. Best regards.
