Stream Viewer is a tools for browsing and exploring of media files. It is built with Java and upon the Eclipse RCP Framework.
With Stream Veiwer you can:
1. Load a media file into a gui interface
2. Look into single streams and packets
3. Browse up ad down the stream hierarchy
4. Search for packets with special properties
Though the primary goal of the project is to study the inner workings of the mpeg2 media streams, the tool is not restricted to mpeg2 but rather, because of the highly extensible plugin architecture of Eclipse RCP, can be extended to use with any kind of media files.
Of course all this is only possible, if plugins exist, which can load the particular kind of a media file.
