SQUID2 software processes SHRIMP ion microprobe data. It derives ages for the U-Th-Pb system, radiogenic Pb isotope ratios and raw isotope ratios. It is jointly developed by Dr Ken Ludwig, Geoscience Australia and the SQUID2 Development Group.

SQUID2 is a Microsoft Excel add-In that processes PD files produced by SHRIMP ion microprobes into a variety of parameters, including raw isotope ratios, radiogenic Pb isotope ratios, ages for the U-Th-Pb system, and, via user-specified algorithms, into an extremely wide range of other possible parameters. Improvement and enhancement of the capabilities of SQUID2 are ongoing.

DEPENDENCIES: In order to use SQUID2, you must first load Isoplot3 because SQUID2 depends on some of the functionality provided by Isoplot3. To get a copy of Isoplot3, go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/isoplot.
