Sparky is really great, I like the tools, the repo, the themes and the community, it works well on my old ThinkPad.

I've just tested the Rescue edition... I repair PCs, and live rescue ISOs are my best friends. I can tell that the Rescue edition 5.5 is one of the best! I think it will be my default everyday tool. Just a few things... 1) The Gparted link from openbox menu is not working (Failed to execute child process). Not a serious issue, because I can run Gparted from terminal or the main menu. 2) Ophcrack is the only Windows password tool, but I suggest chntpw too. I use it to blank and/or delete password on both old (BIOS) and recent (UEFI) PCs. I think it's most useful that Ophcrack because it doesn't find the password: it deletes or changes it. 3) I would like to have Vim too, not only Nano. 4) The text mode needs a further press on "enter" to show the command line at the end of the boot. If you can add these features and fix these minor issues it will be perfect! :-)

Great product! Tested version 4.8 64bit on VMware 548M RAM. Better than LMint Still requires more background and has tricked me to install improper kernel in the end. I like it and I am going to stay with it.

the most interesting its the "editions", its a good Debian testing just ready to use for users, and comes with some important (not noted) software as the codecs.. the desktop appearance are good enought in each flavors.. but the support ahve a lack of response..

My best Linux Distro as Debian kill tim to set up driver but it already have ! Thanks to it all Developer !

Nice rolling distro

Sparkylinux works perfectly, very easy to use with many useful tools. I installed Gnome 3.18 via Synaptic even if it's not supported and enjoying it for months with no issues so far.

This seems to have very similar features to LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) - except Cinnamon option appears to be missing.

I installed KDE 4.1 Version of SparkyLinux. It is Awesome. KDE at its excellence. This is the first KDE Version, I have come across with no sluggishness or Slowness. It is very Fast and light weight KDE Version I have ever seen. Really a Good Job by SparkyLinux Team. Keep it Up.

Sorry but SL could be way better than Mint. great packages but still has a buggy installer. 2.2 had good nvidia support. 3.3 stuck on nouveau (horrible with nv34 cards). Turns off sound chip when idle, a bad feature. I used many linuxes since 1998. Very promising but needs better quality control more testers. I've tested 2.1, 2.2, 3.3 Very smart setup and collection of apps. I voted 3 stars to counter the 5 stars.
