SolarNetwork started as a simple set of client and server tools to collect and analyse solar power information from a distributed network of solar power collectors.
SolarNetwork is now expanding into a set of tools to not only collect and analyse information, but to also control and influence behaviour of a distributed network of nodes where energy is being generated and/or consumed. The name implies it is for solar generated energy only, the SolarNetwork can in fact be used with any form of distributed energy.

Great, highly flexible tool for DER management and data monitoring. SolarNetwork is an excellent open-source solution that offers incredible flexibility. Using its edge framework, you can seamlessly connect to almost any inverter, meter, or IoT device via protocols like MODBUS-RTU/TCP, DNP3, and more. It simplifies complex energy data collection and provides a robust, scalable cloud infrastructure (SolarNet) to remotely control assets and build custom dashboards. A top-tier choice for modern energy tracking.

Solid and reliable solar data acquisition and control platform, extensively configurable. Being open source, works with a multitude of hardware systems. It has provided DAC for private, utility and government installations in the Cook Islands, with customised graphical output, reporting, and live calculation of energy and environmental data. Much preferred over proprietary software which becomes obsolete rapidly, won't 'play nice' with other brands, and has little or no support, expansion or configurability.

Excellent JVM client monitoring of my SMA SB1100e 1.3Kw grid-tie solar system located in Sydney Australia. Live data here; http://data.solarnetwork.net/solarnet/node-dashboard.do?nodeId=19
