When I am logged into slashdot, my message inbox shows a single message with its subject line which I deleted long ago. When I click on the subject, (this link: http://slashdot.org/messages.pl?op=display&id=27814536) I receive an error message stating that the message cannot be found. I tried deleting the message a second time to no effect.

Using Firefox 3.5.6, Vista 32 home premium SP2. I'm logged in on the main site (http://slashdot.org), but whenever I open a story up - whether in a new tab or the same window - I'm logged out. Using the login link at the upper right takes me to my profile page - click through to the home page, where I'm still logged in - try going back to the story - logged out again. Lather, rinse, repeat...

Can I suggest the hypothesis that there is at least one, and probably more than one email queue (client) starting up at around 10:00PM Mountain time, that due to system loading does not complete. I am having the same issue. I changed my default e-mail address in an attempt to receive the newsletter, but no dice. Site contact/support seems to be nil, unfortunately.

The "Disable Advertising" and "Ads Disabled" checkboxes always appear in the slashbox panel, even when simplified layouts are selected and slashboxes are disabled. I was about to submit the same issue - my Slashdot account ("trampel") has positive Karma, is "willing to moderate", and I used to get moderation points about every other week. However, I haven't seen any moderation points for at least half a year (could be a full year).
I'm not aware of having been meta-moderated as unfair.

I have also been suffering this on slashdot.org - it is incredibly annoying. I get the message:

When I click on the comment. When I select delete or [x] the comment returns even if I refresh the page (force refresh of cache).

Since I am receiving the Headlines every single day, and occasionally even receive Daily Newsletter, I do not believe the problem is on my end of the path. This is still a problem.
