  • Works as expected.
  • Sjinn is a simple, yet phenomenal tool for accessing measurement instrumentation from the Linux command line. Very few instrument manufacturers seem interested in providing Linux-compatible software for communicating with their instruments, and there can be serious issues with trying to connect using a virtual machine or something like the Wine emulator. Sjinn takes advantage of the original Unix philosophy that everything is a file- including the input/output ports, which makes it very easy to send commands and retrieve data from instrumentation.
