I connect successfully to sgdav and I did copy a lot of files to my SG site by drag-and-drop in WebDAV. The files are really there.
But when I copy the other way, from a sgdav folder to a local folder, I get only an Access denied / Login screen from SG

Hello,
during setup, all translations are directly compiled into the source code. That way, language files don't need to be parsed for every page request and the system has a much better performance.
When all users use the same user interface, there are fewer misunderstandings and less frustration regarding different labels, different sortings, folder names, etc.

Right now, the language selection is done at install time and you are stuck with that language only. Now suppose I want to install simplegroupware with two or more languages (because my users have different native languages). I am sure I can do this with rewrite rules in apache and multiple separate installs, but I do not have the time to do this.

I asked the hosting company to drop the security rule and they did. Everything seems to work now. (I had the same problem with the Ajax search_data.)
Apologies for having posted this in the wrong forum. This is not a bug in Simple Groupware. I should have posted as a support request or in the Google forum.
