Hi, I'm running Shareaza+ in order to test the hub mode and when using the graph window to show incoming and outgoing traffic (total generic send/receive bandwidth and download/upload bandwidth), I see the total generic receive bandwidth climbing up until it largely surpasses my Internet flat rate (up to 1500 KB/s = 12mbps) and then it falls abruptly to almost 0 and starts climbing again...

Well, that depends on the speed settings. If you turn on fast hashing, Shareaza will also be faster... ;) The default setting in only kept low, because there are still users with slower hardware, so a high default hashing setting can cause problems on some systems. ;)

P.S. ShareazaPlus scanned my music library in under 2 days. Shareaza was taking about 30 seconds per song, so it would've taken nearly 2 solid months to scan my library.

I'm running ShareazaPlus v2.2.5.6 on Windows 7 64-bit. Shareaza v2.4.0.0 was taking forever to scan my music library (165,000+ songs), so I thought I'd try ShareazaPlus.
