well, currently SCIM's key sequence of switching IMEs only works in this way:
Press Ctrl -> Press Shift -> Release Shift -> Release Ctrl
and pressing in this way will not work:
Press Ctrl -> Press Shift -> Release Ctrl -> Release Shift
however, some Windows users tends to "strike" Ctrl and Shift keys together to switch IMEs, which doesn't always work in SCIM if she happens to released...

I used the workaround as follow :
A simple hack for the first problem is to edit /usr/share/m17n/zh-pinyin.mim and replace 'a' with 'q' in the map rules.
For example : ("qi" (("ai" "āi" "ái" "ǎi" "ài" )))

I reported this already as https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=650539&aid=2827434&group_id=108454 , but the ticket has been closed and sf defaults to "no further comments allowed" (how dumb is that??) The issue itself has not been resolved, so I report it again here.
I think suzhe is MIA. His mails bounce, his SF account seems to be
disabled. I think the bst action is probably...

If I understand correctly, he was just talking about my workaround to make zh-pinyin work with azerty keyboard.
The problem with 智能拼音 and numbers to select words is still present and quite annoying.
