Works great for viewing HDR thumbnails, though would be nice for it to support EXR.

Doesn't work with GIMP. Tried using its repair utility, same result.

Hasn't been actively supported in years. Current version is 2.0.0.23 from 2017. Doesn't support WebP format. Overall a mediocre app that is past its prime.

Two WIN10 PCs installed this software One can preview.ai, the other can’t Why?

As soon as I installed it, my desktop kept flashing black and couldn't select any thumbnails on the desktop, in the taskbar and I couldn't open the Windows menu. I couldn't even reboot in safe or bios mode. The only thing I could do was CTRL ALT DELETE to get the the power button. After 2.5 hours of rebooting and taking my computer apart to remove the hard drive containing essential files, I realized that I could open startup item locations through the Task Manager. From there, I found the SageThumbs app in c/program files (x86). I launched the uninstaller and as soon as it began the uninstall process, my desktop and icons came back.

SageThumbs is perfect for Adobe Photoshop users, being able to see PSD thumbnails make my work flow a lot easier. Well worth installing!

Voilà bien longtemps que j'utilise Sage Thumbs, je l'ai toujours trouvé vraiment génial. Malheureus****t en ce moment il me donne maille à partir. J'ai du formater mon PC, et le réinstaller. Tout est parfait sauf les fichiers PSD dont la vignette est un carré blanc avec un petit sigle ps dans la partie inférieure. Je n'ai pas trouvé de réponse dans les options, Pourriez-vous m'apporter une solution afin de le rendre fonctionnel comme autrefois. J'utilise beaucoup Photoshop et suis très frustrée de ne plus voir les vignettes dans l'explorateur. Je vous en remercie par avance.

Why MS Windows 10 Explorer did not do this for an MS Windows Paintbox file type: ".PCX", I don't know! All other efforts to provide .PCX thumbnails from other sources failed, (miserably). I am impressed this can do a preview for many many formats including Photoshop, etc. right in Windows explorer because I don't like commander panels.

THANK YOU - THANK YOU! I found out about your software through a post on the windows forum. For almost a year - I have not been able to see the .psp images on my computer. It was extremely time consuming. NOW - I can see the images before using/opening. I am extremely grateful. Thank you for creating it and offering it. (I am using Windows 10)

Good but support svg Images

Used to work, but doesn't work with any PSD or AI files anymore.

This was a complete waste of 5 hours. I'm running Windows 7 with on a intel i7 2600k processor and 16GB of RAM. I got SageThumbs because it was recommended with all manor of accolades. I just waned to be able to see thumbnails in Windows Explorer. SageThumbs proved to be absolutely useless. And it took another couple of hours trying to uninstall. It totally crashed my machine necessitating another hour and a 1/2 trying to recover the machine. Absolutely can not recommend this app. Given all the praise I'v seen for this app I have to presume it does work for some people. Having lost half a days work I'm not willing to lose anymore time. on it. Not to mention, I may not be able to recover my machine next time. So it's your choice if you want to take the gamble.

I created an account here just to say that SageThumbs saved my life. I have over 200 Photoshop files and I was struggling to find the one I needed. I was already feeling hopeless and alone. It was the worst time to have a depressive episode. I did a google search and this was the first result and I tried it and it worked without any effort. So I emptied the bath water and put the sleeping pills away. Thank you for making this. If only everything in life were as good as SageThumbs.

Sage Thumbs does for free what MysthicThumbs does for 34.95$ a year. And it does it perfectly. Damn I'm glad I found this open source Shell Extension. Thousands of thanks raspopov and all thoes who might have participated to this project. Top notch ! P.S : For those who have issues with PSD, try Ardfry PSD Codec. But .psd files display already thumbnails in Windows 10 with or without Sage Thumbs.

I prefer Windows context menu tools. This one does a great job with image previews. It's actually very useful for those who work with pictures hardly.

It is always a great tool for all those work with Images. Thanks a Lot But only one issue It is assumed as Virus with SmadAV. Just cool, Set the folder of the Sagethumbs in the exclusion list of the AV that is all. But this can be corrected by the developer I hope it happens at the earliest. thanks once again

Works very well. There are a few newer file types it doesn't work on, like Adobe Illustrator, but for the most part, it works very well.
