  • Comment: -alf not found in cp command on FreeBSD

Logged In: YES user_id=585737 As stated in README/Prerequisites, rsback requires the GNU file utilities. Under BSD systems one may install these utilities in a separate path an use the config paramters in the [global] section to tell rsback where these commands are. hjb :-?.

  • single quoting fails

rsync allows for something like this : rsync [OPTIONS] HOST:'/dir1 /dir2 /dir3 ....' rsback won't work with such source.

  • -alf not found in cp command on FreeBSD

I have just installed the latest verion RSBack on a FreeBSD system. I noticed that the copy command uses the parameters -alf which is unsupport on this platfor. The suggested replacement is to use the cpio to create the tree of hardlinks.
