Rizz version 0.9 ---------------- Description ----------- Rizz is a ligt-weight RSS reader. Using Rizz you can create a number of Post-It like notes containing one, or several, feeds each. Each note can also be filtered. Features -------- Upon start, Rizz will present itself as a small icon among the system icons. Rizz will also upon startup create a rizz_bulletin XML file in the users document folder. This file will store RSS feed links, filters etc. Using right-click on the icon, you will be accessing the main menu. +-----------+ I MAIN MENU I +-----------+ New Bulletin ------------ Creates new PostIt like bulletins. These can be moved, sized, and closed individually Manage Feeds ------------ UNDER CONSTRUCTION Edit Feeds ---------- Here you can add/delete feeds. Feeds defined here will be available by all bulletins Import Feeds ------------ UNDER CONSTRUCTION Refresh ------- Updates all bulletins Hide ---- Hides/unhides all bulletin windows Option ------ Here you can set a number of options. How often the bulletins are refreshed. If all bulletin should be saved on exit If filter colors can be combined. Font style About ----- Shows version number Exit ---- Exits Rizz +---------------+ I Bulletin Menu I +---------------+ Right-clicking on a bulletin will open a new menu Open Feed --------- A new feed can be added to the bulletin in question. Feeds can be chosen from a scroll down list defined in Main Menu->Edit Feeds Delete Feed ----------- Feeds can be removed from the bulletin Rename ------ Renames the bulletin window Mark all as read ---------------- Marks all RSS entries as read. Read entries will be filtered accordingly. See Options->Filter Options ------- Here you can find a number of options for the bulletin You can set the background color. You can also add/delete/change filters in the Filter TAB At start you can see the Read and Unread filter, and change how these should be shown. What font style and font color. Besides these 2 option, you can create your own filters. Either you can filter by a word, or a number of words. At your disposal you have 3 logical operatos namely AND, OR, NOT The filter can then be shown by font style or font color. Example. Show in blue bold font all RSS entries with words blue and person Filter: blue and person You can create complex filtering so the need to search for what you are interested in will be focused Examples: protein or DNA and not enzymes grant and not cary Close ----- Closes the bulletin in question
