I'm running ripperX 2.7.2 on OpenSuSE 11.0, i586.
When I rip and encode a CD, I get the following output:

In case of I do not select any track and hit the Go!!! button a error message pops up 'Error Code 13...' (which is ok so far) and the directory gets created (which is not ok). It would be better when the directory which of course is empty would not be created at all because there is no content.
I use ripperx version 2.7.2-2 with ubuntu 9.04 (x64).

trying to get this thing to build in debian lenny, also having problems
configure: error: libid3 not found
i have libid3-1.2 installed (built from source)... i suspect that debian's own build package of libid3-3.8.3c2a should offer similar functionality.
i tried amending the actual shell script thus:
if test $ac_cv_lib_id3_ID3Tag_Link = yes; then

There are actually two issues here.
First, you are using Amarok to display the encoded bitrate. Amarok, like many players, will display the bitrate for constant bitrate sampling and the average bitrate (which is embedded in the mp3 file by LAME) for variable bitrate sampling - but there is no indicator that there is a variable bitrate being used. Hi,
I clicked on the checkbox "Variable bitrate". The produced mp3-files seem to be in constant bitrate anyway...
