RCourse is a library for the peersim simulation environment and designed to evaluate the robustness of P2P publish/subscribe overlay protocols. RCourse provides some example implementations of Scribe/Pastry and (Informed) Gossiping with Cyclon and HyParView.

RCourset targets to support the simulation by means of scenario definition, automated analysis and diagram generation. Multiple scenarios are already defined (node crash, churn, message loss etc.), however, they serve as a base. Due to the modular design it is easy to adapt RCourse to own needs.

All parts (simulation, analysis, diagram creation) make use of free software. The simulation results are stored in a SQLite database file and the analysis as well as diagram creation is done with the R programming language.
