Indeed this feature could be interesting. It seems to be a quite recent development.
I'll probably have a look at SCXML.
The SCXML specification might change less than the Qt API (altough I'm not sure because it's a working draft).
Further, other applications that can import SCXML could use it.

qt now includes a state machine framework. this was an add-on library, but from qt 4.6 it is part of the standard distribution.
if qfsm could create the appropriate code from a state machine definition, (or export SCXML, which qt can import) it would...
