This directory is for printer emulation: When connected to a PC with parallel port, the emulator will emulates the negociation protocol on the printer side. emul_compat_printer-NetBSD.tar.bz2 ---------------------------------- This emulator is located on a PC running NetBSD; a custom cable is connected between the emulator and the PC with parallel port. This NetBSD version only does the compati- bility mode. In this mode, no negociation is done. XPORT_PAR.brd, XPORT_PAR.sch, XPORT_PAR.zip ------------- Eagle files for a PCB connected to the Xport development board. This PCB is connected to the PC with parallel port via a standard DB25 cable. It`s also connected to a Xport from Charmed Labs, in turn connected into a Game Boy Advance. http://www.charmedlabs.com printer_emul.tar.bz2 -------------------- This emulator runs on a Game Boy Advance. It needs the XPort from Charmed Labs and a connection to a standard PC. See XPORT_PAR.zip for the connection, implemented with a small PCB. This emulator implements the negotiation phase and SPP, nibble, byte, ECP, ECP RLE modes. The EPP mode is not supported. The emulator has since been ported to the mbed platform. It's a development board based on a LPC1768 CPU from NXP. It's faster than a Game boy Advance. http://mbed.org/users/jpelletier/programs/Printer_emulator/lqurhy
