  • create user home directory automatically

Hi! Is it possible to create automatically individual directories for each user account that is created? Currently I have to do this manually. When I create a user, I tell proftpd the 'user home directory', but then I must create this directory manually on server. Has anyone an idea?.

  • Followup: RE: create groups?

The GID should match with an existing UNIX GID, just like the UID should match a UNIX UID. It is possible for multiple (virtual) users to share the same physical UID and/or GID.
