The project is still alive - a new version has been released after several years of inactivity. It has a version number of 0.99 to commemorate a special date of 09-09-09.
This release integrates all patches for porttools from the Ports Tree:
- bugfix: Fix commandline arguments handling for some cases when two or more
flags are used - e.g. `port submit -m update -d .orig` (PR: ports/100771,

The FreeBSD mail server rejects posts that exceed 500k. It would be nice if an error was thrown by the port tool, so that we know ahead of time that the submission will fail.

Hi there,
I've been using porttools in directories where the PORTNAME is different than the directory name. Some examples are:
www/zend-framework (PORTNAME = ZendFramework)
security/keepassx (PORTNAME = KeePassX)
Instead of using the PORTNAME value in the synopsis, I'd like to use the directory name instead, since the PR auto-assigner or the assignee usually make that change anyway.

In porttools 0.77, the test sub-command includes a "-C" (do not clean after) option. However, this option is not honored if there is a make error during port testing.
I maintain some ports where I want to prevent workspace cleaning after a make error so I can manually create a directory and then proceed with the test. This patch implements that fix.
Regards,
Greg Larkin.

This release fixes a stupid bug in port create that was introduced by a last-minute change in the previous version. Thanks Radim Kolar for reporting this.
