PHP Server Monitor is a script that checks whether the servers on your list are up and running on the selected ports.
It comes with a web based user interface where you can add and remove servers or websites from the MySQL database,
and you can manage users for each server with a mobile number and email address.
On the "Add server" page, you can choose
whether it's a "service" or a "website":
For services a connection will be made to the entered ip or domain, on the given port. This way you can check if certain services on your machine are still running. To check your IMAP service for example, enter port 143.
For websites you can enter a link (for example http://sourceforge.net/index.php), and it will check the HTTP status code. If the HTTP status code is in the 4xx range or a timeout, it means an error occurred and the tool will start sending out notifications.

What a fantastic little piece of software! Will monitor as many of your websites as you like. All works very quickly and easily, interface is straight forward and the developer is extremely helpful and friendly. Great open source project.
Does exactly the advertised job, and does it well ! Web design is a bit outdated, but functionnal anyway. Thanks for this nice software.
very good project, thanks!
Can someone help me? When I add a new server and click save, It doesn't add it. Everything seems to work when I make changes, but not the new server feature. Thank you in advance..
Wonderfully easy to install. Works great strait out of the box. Only negative is the fact that only commercial SMS gateways are supported. Could use smtp to sms gateway capability. Most carriers now support this free of charge. Seems like it could be fairly straightforward to implement (I'm not a developer mind you).
