Thank god there is development again on sanity when it comes to audio. It is wonderful to see commits, Linux will not gain market share until ALSA dies, even with Pulse Audio covering over the top (introducing its own problems). I've never spent so much time trouble shooting audio then using Linux as my main operating system. With a new display server coming, its time to replace ALSA with a new audio system too.
