I am involved in a house of prayer that uses multiple worship leaders. We have been using OpenSong as a portable application for about a year now. The advantage is that worship leaders can put together their worship lists at home and simply run it from their flash drives. We use OpenSong with our College Campus Crusade Group which means that our leadership is very distributed. I.e. each of our members stores his set of opensong files on their own computer in their own houses. It would be much easier to manage/synchronize our song/presentation files if they were all stored in a central database. MySQL would be ideal because of its open-source nature and universal...

I just wanted to know, could the newest OpenSong version soon be available for Mac OS? I switched recently and really appreciated the new "Add Image" feature in 1.5.1 for Windows.

There is not only the "Presentation" Bar above. On my EEE 900a with Ubuntu 9.10 (was the same earlier) the space that is used for this (ugly) titlebar is missing at the bottom margin. I managed to "fix" this by inserting a 10 pt subtitle and add -16 pt distance in slide settings for subtitles placed on the bottom. Then adding a 20 pt distance to the Text field...

I had the same problem when trying to override the default slide settings from within Song Mode to pull in custom backgrounds. The subtitle info would disappear in Set Mode every time. I did find a fix for it though. After disabling the overrides for each song in Song Mode, I just inserted a new Style (from the New Item menu) in Set Mode before each song.
