I have the same problem trying to compile the omnibook module.
I have Fedora 11 with 2.6.30.5 kernel.

Try to write down your notebook model in laptop.h file. Simply replace any you like and hope it works.

I refreshed the patch and added the laptop name in laptop.h, so that the right ectype is automagically chosen.

Satellite A300 (bios version 1.90) needs this patch to work. I submitted it a while ago on the feature request tracker and maybe it went unnoticed, now it may need refreshing but that should be totally trivial.

In addition, ALL the CMOS settings for any type of WAKE-UP are disabled. And if I load another OS from a Live-Disc (like Ubuntu run off of DVD only), then the computer does NOT boot up by itself after that OS is shutdown.

I installed the omnibook_2.20070211+svn20090714b.orig.tar.gz module yesterday.
Today my battery was mysteriously run down - unplugged from wall. I then used my computer and turned it off, left it plugged in. With a couple minutes, it starts booting up again. I turned it off a 2nd time and it booted up again.
Slackware 12.2.

Hi, i've tried to install the omnibook linux driver on a toshiba tecra a7 sp2022 model pta71u-02005 trying to enable bluetooth support but i've failed with that task, that is:
i've executed the next commands in a terminal window
1-mkdir omnibook
2-svn co https://omnibook.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/omnibook omnibook
3-move to trunk dir
4-make
5-sudo make install
6-load module as next:
