Thank you for your interest in this project but it has been unmaintained for sometime already.
To answer your questions,
1. Is the product stable enough?
It was at that time of release but I do not think so now.
2. How much knowledge of the PHP+MYSQL is required to install and configure this?
Used to be none at all, but considering all the library changes over the years...

I just came across this and it looks a very good software to me. I want to use this to manage the statistics of my cricket club here in Arizona, USA. Can anyone suggest me on the following?

Thanks for your interest in oicd, unfortunately there is no stable release at the moment and I am to busy with other commitments. Please try out the current CVS snapshot. You can do so with the following command
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@oicd.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/oicd login
cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@oicd.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/oicd co -P modulename

Since the project have been migrated to SF, SQL queries
has stopped working namely those in the file
'player_view.php'.
