  • patch for check_ups causing nut to log (read failure)

Software involved in the problem: check_ups (nagios-plugins 1.4.2) 1.27 Network UPS Tools upsd 2.0.2 This patch fixes problem caused by check_ups getting ups data from the upsd. The upsd does not like the tcp connection to be closed without logout. That causes error logging looking like this: Dec 22 12:51:33 myhost upsd[14020]: Host 192.168.13.13 disconnected (read failure)

  • check_procs returns error because of bogus "-" in ps -axo

This bug seems to concern Debian systems only. It can be fixed by replacing all "ps -axo" with "ps axo" in the configure file and recompiling the check_procs binary. $ /usr/lib/netsaint/plugins/check_procs -w 200 -c 400 System call sent warnings to stderr OK - 121 processes running The warnings are definetely coming from the ps tool: $ /bin/ps -axo 'stat uid ppid...

  • Comment: check_netsaint issue

Question: Why is that, that when i run the check_netsaint command from command prompt, Netsaint is able to find its own process, However, the Process Status in Gui says "Netsaint Process Not found", therefore command options are disabled. $ /usr/opt/netsaint/libexec/check_netsaint /usr/opt/netsaint/v ar/status.log 5 \ > '/usr/opt/netsaint/bin/netsaint...

  • Comment: Add millisecond to check_http output

I would really love this to, I use smokeping and Netsaint at the moment, and I would really like these numbers in Netsaint. Thanks Warrick.
