actually there is an add-on which permits to use a single OFBiz instance with multiple databases. you may find more information on this at the following page :

It is packaged as an add-on, which is a new feature we are introducing in ofbiz-neogia. You will find there more details : http://neogia.org/OFBiz_add-on
