This project encompasses a custom appender for log4j, intended for system administrators and/or developers interested in using the log4j architecture to push messages to Nagios, via the Nagios nsca server. Release 2.0.0 supports asynchronous message delivery, tunable timeouts, and a buffer for redelivery support.

Thanks for Nagiosappender, it's perfect!

Nagios appender is not a reliable appender for Nagios and it is difficult to configure it and it is not straight forward. I hope, future releases will make it easy to configure and use it. I was easily able to send messages to Nagios through command line, but I am not able to send messages to Nagios using this tool.
