  • Followup: RE: mp3bookhelper alternative?

I've been using this app for years and haven't found anything else as versatile. If I had to replace it completely, I'd have to use two or more other apps. Actually, I haven't found anything else that will do embedded images. I'm sure there's a Linux app that compares, but for now windows is my primary os. I guess as long as it keeps running on win, I'll keep using it. If I were a developer...

  • Followup: RE: m3u List- Help,please

I understand the developer went away (well, we all do that eventually)...so I'll accept a suggestion from anyone! Please? Until I can find another program that does what's needed here. thankx john.

That should be without DRM. Can you edit a comment?.

m4a is actually a video format with DRM and is just using the audio track. I'm not even sure it has tags.

  • m3u List- Help,please

I must be missing a basic understanding. I have a book with some "long files" and I want to change it to a book with many many "short files". This is done using the M3U function, yes? I have the original long files loaded. I click M3U and get the dialog window. I enter a preferred path for the Playlist (in other words, the "output folder"). I enter...

  • Dollar vars

Gday, Great tagger, just what I've been looking for. One problem I have however is that $2 is a builtin var as well as being used by the regexp engine so things like <R><(.*),(.*)><$2,$1><Title> will not perform as expected. Is there a workaround for this other than creating extra bracketed patterns and skipping $2? Thanks, Will.

  • Use NFO tags in Rename Folder

Hi! Love this program. Don't know if anyone is still maintaining it - would be happy to donate to have this feature added (fixed?). The variables accepted for parsing in the Rename Folder dialog is currently a bit limited. In particular many of the really useful (to me :) ones that are used in the NFO template don't work. This is particularly true for the variables that mean something di.

  • Crashes on launching

I've been using mp3bookhelper for several years without a problem, and suddenly it started crashing instantly when you try and launch it. You then get a box offering to report details to Microsoft. I'm using 2.3.4 under WinXPSP3. Reinstalling it didn't help. I couldn't think of anything I'd recently changed, except possibly installing MS09-001. Then I remembered that I'd turned on DEP...

  • Followup: RE: Program runs in processes, but can't see

Well, I got to reading some of the other posts, which, I suppose, I should have done before I posted. The Data Execution Prevention tip did the trick for me. I had had to turn DEP on for all programs a week or so ago, for some reason. I defined an exception for mp3bh, and now it works just fine. So thanks for that tip. Flynike.

  • Program runs in processes, but can't see

Hi. I have been a happy user of this program on a daily basis for years. I can't do without it. But all of a sudden, on my new Vista machine, when I bring up the program, nothing seems to happen. But if I look at running processes with Task Manager, there it is, using plenty of memory cycles. But nothing to see anywhere else: taskbar, anywhere; nor any way to use the program. This had...
