It would be nice to have an install.php script or something that creates a single config.php file.
It's too much of a pain to open and edit all of those files.
Even if there's no install script then a single config.php file would be nice. You could easily replace all of the entries in those files with include or require_once 'config.php' so people didn't have to work so hard to install...

Enhancement request for UI:
For backing up all databases, instead of specifying '--all-databases' in the database text box, have a check box labeled "All Databases" that, when checked, disables the databases text box. This helps prevent typos (human error.)

Enhancement request:
For the local backup script, put all configurable items into a config file (name=value list) instead of the script itself.
For the talkback, have a section report the settings used to make the backup. This will aid in doing restores (consider if 'master-data=2' changes to 'master-data=1' - you may need to adjust your restore action appropriately.)

Enhancement request:
Put a version number in the local backup script and have that version reported during talkback. that way, if a new local backup script is released, you can see which hosts are using the most recent version of the local script and which need upgraded.

Enhancement request:
After a backup completes, purge binary logs (if applicable) up to the master-data binary log. Make this a configurable option in the UI.
