  • Where is the detailed support with specific instructions on exactly how to run this?? A program is only as good as it's support which there appears to be little or none.
  • The bootable image for MFSTools3.2 did NOT boot on my HP DV6-6047cl laptop (I7 Intel). It DID BOOT fine on a desktop AMD8core 4Ghz Asus motherboard system. This release looks very similar to the MFSLive1.4 bootable release that I downloaded today. The MFSLive 1.4 iso did boot fine on the same laptop (only in text mode), but did NOT boot on the same desktop AMD8Core 4Ghz Asus motherboard system. Soooo, get both of these distributions and you might make one work on your systems. The MFSTools3.2 did work ok, as did the MFSLive1.4 boot disk. Note that both systems boot fine to Windows7 as well as SuseLinux 13.2... The video drivers may be the problem?? This is a good progress for Tivo hackers... Now if someone could just get that GenieGo2 video format hacked so we could use those downloaded videos!!! AND get that THR22 tivo system hacked!!! Until then, we gotta stick with our Series 2 tivos for good file transfers...
  • The code is well written. After updating the Mac port, I successfully replaced a failing HD in my TiVo and it's been running OK for more than 3 months. To use this, you do need to be able to run command line programs and this involves formatting hard drives; so, one must use the restore function carefully and understand a little bit about how the OS names hard drives in /dev.
