I use pidgin on a sametime network and there seems to an issue where pidgin won´t do the lookup and change the account names for the real names. That doesn´t happens with everyone, but it does happen.

Sametime supports the status "In a Meeting" as a unique state. Away, DND, Available are the only states that appear in my client that uses this library. (Adium)

Hi,
The main link is down. Here's a temporary backup link: http://ow.lilotux.net/~mikael/pub/meanwhile/
I'll post the presence_fix_v2.diff here as well, I hope it won't be mangled:

Hi, I'm still having this issue with libmeanwhile 1.0.2.
The link to the patch seems broken again. Could someone post it here or point me to it?
Thanks.

I think that https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meanwhile/+bug/261695 has a patch by Martin Schwenke for this issue.

There are comments in the pidgin ticket that this problem (null pointer dereference causes pidgin to crash when connecting to a Sametime server) is intermitted or fixed, yet I experience it systematically when connecting. Successfully reproduced the problem in pidgin 2.4.3, 2.5.1 on XP SP2. I'd be happy to volunteer to test an early fix if available.

This issue was filed in the pidgin tracker:
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6798
Apparently there was a recent server change that triggered a null pointer deref - the ticket above contains more information.
