hi
do you consider this good to load manipulate save a DTD only (no xml) in java 1.6 or is there in built support now? i dont meant to be rude just wanted to know the best way to go about this . i have a project to edit DTDs - create new, load edit save.

When encountering an error while dtdtree is parsing a
file (like undefined element) it would be convenient if
the line number where the error was encountered is
printed (especially with big dtd's)

Sorry about the delay in replying to you - somehow I didn't
get any notification on the tracker items.
This bug is fixed in the current cvs version. I'll fix it
and release a bug-fix version.
I started out to completely refactor and add new
functionality to the Matra API - but somehow didn't find the
time to finish it yet...

As you've mentioned, there are only four types of
cardinalities in DTDs - "", "?", "+" and "*".
The current version of Matra does not distinguish between
sequence and choice. I am currently in the process of
changing the API to return the choice / sequence information
too.

Sorry about the delay in responding to your mail (somehow I
didn't get notified of this request from sf).
The problem here is with the namespace processing. The
element "math" is, correctly, referred to as "math" and as
"m:math". Matra could not recognize that both were the same
element.
A workaround for this probelm would be to change a single.
