Sorry- No plans to port to PHP or other open source software. The project was undertaken to satisfy a local need and so was designed to fit within our Cold Fusion environment. Once completed, we had inquiries from several libraries with Cold Fusion about whether we could make the code available to them. Last I checked, Cold Fusion wasn't free, neither like speech nor beer.
