Because of outdated SSL/TLS support in OS X 10.5 and 10.6 you cannot directly download from sourceforge using those old operating systems any longer.
You'll need to download using a more recent operating system, using Leopard WebKit 600.5.7 (or later), using TenFourFox or use a capable helper application like the one provided by the TenFourFox project:
