It seems that "-dvd-device" is not working with mencoder of MPlayer release 1.0pre2.
Nice tool so far. Please, keep it on!

Hello!
I'd like to suggest that the option "-of mpeg" is passed to mencoder when creating mpeg files. It is important since sometimes it is not possible to set specific frame rates to avi files (at least with mencoder).

Hello! In the interface, it is not possible to use float Frame Rate values. It is usefull when one needs to guarantee a framerate of 29.9700fps, for example.

I don't know if this will be helpful or not, as your initial post was made a month ago. But I think you may need to install some development libraries associated with kde.
I don't use SuSe, so I can't tell you their exact names. But I'm sure if you search the SuSe rpm repository or the 'net you should be able to find these. They usually end have the term "-dev" somewhere in...

I types configure and pressed enter. After some stuff, it prints

kmencoder generates an error "An Error Occurred, renaming:" when
the filename of the input or output file has a space in it.

Would You be so kind to add support for the new MPlayer
syntax in addresing devices?
before it was
-dvd N
Now it's
dvd://N
and a lot is changed all around.
I'm no programer just a user...
I use Mplayer 1.0 pre3 and (trying) kmencoder 0.1.2
(sources - not a rpm)
