I just installed Keepass 2 from the Ubuntu software center (Ubuntu 11.10). While testing the auto-type feature, I see that the pasted text has characters replaced (I'm testing on gedit, a simple text editor).
For example in the name, the "." (dot) becomes "€" (a Euro character). In the password, "N" (upper case n) becomes "Ł" (crossed L) and "f" (lower case f) becomes "←" (left arrow). Other characters are not modified.
My keyboard layout is Spanish International.
How can I fix that?

the problem is that xdotool used to do the autotype on linux really sucks when it comes to non englisch keyboard layouts.
It often only shows when you have more than one keyboard layout configured, try removing those that you don't need (dash -> keyboard layout)
there is a patch which improves things a bit in this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepass2/+bug/801415

I use two different keyboard layouts (I'm learning Dvorak) so I guess I will stick to KeepassX until this issue is solved. Thanks for your answer.
