Jython implementation updated to v2.2.1 of Jython and now based on a interpreter function within a Java class (.py files no longer compiled).
First module (True Airspeed) converted to a Java class.
All degrees Farenheit and Celsius symbols changed to the unicode version.

You beat me to it! I'd been toying with the idea of trying to re-invent the virtual E6B using Python for a while and for exactly the same reasons. So, had a week away from work, fired up the machine to do some research on the maths involved and found your program via freshmeat.net.

The degrees symbol does not appear when using the
software under Windows. It is instead replaced by
a 'unknown' character symbol i.e. an unfilled square.
