  • Comment: Game fails to build.

JMEBoy is for mobile phones only and not for use on a PC. Please use JSwingBoy on a PC.

  • Comment: 'Save Snapshot' function malfunctioning

Hi, the project switched from SVN to Mercurial a few weeks ago, so that the most recent version is no longer inside the SVN repository. Please take a look at the most recent code in the Mercurial repository.

  • Game fails to build.

I downloaded the latest release of JGB from the front page, JMEBoy-1.5.1-withgames.jar, onto a machine running Linux kernel 2.6, and could not manage to get it to do anything at all. Right-click and 'Open with Java' yielded absolutely no reaction from the machine; using 'java -jar JMEBoy-1.5.1-withgames.jar' produced the error message 'Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from...

  • 'Save Snapshot' function malfunctioning

I'm working from a computer running linux kernel 2.6. I checked out the code with svn a few weeks ago; the 'About' file under Help says it's version 1.2.11. I built JSwingBoy with Eclipse 3.4. In-game, any attempt to click File-->Save Snapshot or use the 'ctrl-alt-S' command resulted in an error window containing the message 'Failed to save the emulator state!' (see attached screenshot1.png)...

  • Comment: "Failed to load image"

The M800, which AFAIK in Germany was released as F490, has - according to the site areamobile.de (http://www.areamobile.de/handys/1361-samsung-sgh-f490/datenblatt/features) - only 1 MB of memory available for Java applications. So, if this is true, however much memory the phone has otherwise, only 1 MB can be used for Java apps. So my fear is that only quite small ROM files will work for JMEBoy...

  • "Failed to load image"

I'm using the 1.5.1 version on my Samsung M800 but I keep getting "Failed to load image" when I try to run gbc game roms. I have 4.8 MBs left in free memory for it to run with and have no problem running gb roms. All the files are on my SD card, and I tried reinstalling it but get the same results.

  • JMEBoy 1.5.1 released

The binaries of the final releases for JMEBoy 1.5.1 have been added for download. These releases are built from the code of HG revision 410. The releases contain Dutch as new translation, as well as a fix for a problem that prevented using the emulator on some Sony Ericsson phones. Please take a look at the release notes for more information on the changes. Choose the emulator download...
