  • Need Computer Name

Version 2 returned Computer Name correctly. Version 3 does not have that option. In V2, Host Name did not always work, but Computer Name did. I'd like Computer Name in V3, please.

  • Feature Request - Ingnore or Scan Ports

Let me just start off by mentioning how great Angry IP Scanner is. Its a nice tech toy and very productive network utility. Its mainly used in our environment to mange IPs but has a lot more features that we (me, myself and I ) started to dive into. I have been testing 3.0 beta 4 for a little bit now. In 2.X I could enable or disable port scanning from the main interface with 2 clicks. I do...

  • Comment: Does not scan *.*.*.255

*.*.*.255 is a broadcast address, not a usable IP, are you trying to scan a whole subnet?.

  • Does not scan *.*.*.255

No matter what i choose,it still scans every ip until 254,not 255.

  • Command line option

In the version ipscan-3.0-beta4 the set of available options at command line seems to be limited. I would suggest to add the following options directly from command line, in order of priority (from my own point of view): 1) maximum number of threads; 2) number of ping probes; 3) ping timeout; 4) multiple non-consecutive ip ranges, e.g., from x.x.1.1 to x.x.1.255 and from x.x.50.1 to x.x.

  • Comment: invalid XML output bytes

Make sure you read the XML correctly, using the UTF-8 encoding. In Java, provide the XML parser with an InputStream, or if you use Reader, make sure you specify the encoding on creation.

  • Comment: Command line for v3?

ipscan-3.0 starting from beta4 supports the new command-line syntax. The old one unfortunately cannot be used.
