I'm probably just missing an obvious page or file. My current understanding is:
1) edit **/etc/IPdetect/IPdetect.conf**, in my case using the 'last' and 'browser' settings.
2) get the code or URL from your dynamic dns service that signals them that your ip address has changed
3) edit **/etc/IPdetect/change_run.sh** and add the service's script or URL to update your entries

Error in found in /usr/bin/ipdetect.sh
mktemp command has wrong sysntax. Help

The 0.6 beta1 release is now considered stable, as no confirmed bug has been found. If you use 0.6b1 you can stick with this version and assume you have the latest stable.
Works in progres on 0.7. New features will include:
- iproute2 support for interface based detection
- update plugins support for beter integration with known dynamic DNS services.

The first stable release of IPdetect has been released. This is the code from 0.55 beta1 version, considered stable after almost half a year of testing with no real bug submited.
