What's happening?

  • gtkwifi causes periodic packet drops

    When I use GTKWifi, after connecting, packets are dropped regularly, about once every 3 seconds. When I kill the application, the packet drops stop.     I'd like to see this too! gtkwifi seems to work much better for me than that network-manager business. Trouble is, many folks are going to the "increased security" of WPA... Thanks for the good work.

  • Turn off when wireless is off

    I would be great if GTKWiFi would turn off when I turn the wireless off on my laptop. The only reason I turn the RF off is to conserve resources when running on battery. GTKWiFi seems to use a lot of CPU time even when the RF is turned off. Thanks!
