I get the same error when compiling the SVN version (btw, I had to re-add the GNU.Gettext.dll because it was looking for it in the wrong place) even though the file in itself exists...
$ ls -al /usr/lib/firefox/libgtkembedmoz.so
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 82104 2006-10-23 13:51 /usr/lib/firefox/libgtkembedmoz.so.

I solved it by installing libvte-cil and libvte2.0-cil, but now it crashes with another error, I'm not sure if I should create a new bug report for this but I guess the bug description still aplies so I'll put it here:
$ gsvn

Installed the .deb (version 0.2_all) but when I start the program it crashes immediately.
