gpixpod --help ==> Usage: gpixpod.py [options]
etc.
but it would be better to say Usage: gpixpod.py [options] image[s] (or something) to make it clear that gpixpod requires image filenames (or directory names with the -r option?)
cf cp --help ==> Usage: cp [OPTION]... [-T] SOURCE DEST
etc.

Is this project active yet? Last release was on 2006 and my 6th generation 30 GB Ipod Video doesn't seem to be recognized.
Gpixpod reports it as Ipod None and say it will never be supported.

When I try to add photos to my Ipod video 80Gb (white) through GpixPod I get a message saying You are using an iPod None. Please quit now: your model is not supported, and it never will be. It does not have a color screen and it does not support photos!

Add support for multiple iPods (just like in gtkpod) and autodetection. Having to enter mount path to Preferences is cumbersome. (in days of HAL)

please reopen this bug, it screwed up my 3000+ photo database in over 180+ albums. gpixpod thinks the database is fine (and displays photos correctly in order in each album) but in the ipod, the photos are all over the place. The photos of my car is in the album of my girlfriend, as if the f*cking car is my girlfriend.

I'm enjoying the pair GPixPod and GTKPod but I have the impression that GPixPod is eating up all my memory.
This is how to reproduce the problem:
0. Open top and keep looking the memory usage of python
1. Open GPixPod and open the ipod photo db.
2. De-select the full resolution and select the skip duplicate entry
3. Open a folder and click on a big picture (say a couple of MB).
4. The...
