im sorry to sound ignorant but what do i actually have to do to make this patch work?
just paste it at the bottom of the gotmail file in /usr/bin ??
because i tried that and i just got back a load of rubbish?

I second Jos' comments. I don't believe it's worth pursuing further updates to Gotmail.
That said - I have requested previously that anyone interested in patching or working on Gotmail is welcome to email me and I'll get you set up. Or Jos has made the same offer.
Regards
James.

Dear all,
Just to remind you that I'm personally not putting time anymore in
gotmail.
My recommendation is to go to GetLive (you have then to convert to 'live'
but in the end you will have to anyway).
There I'm trying to catchup with MS changes.
Having said that, if someone feels like patching this and want to release
in gotmail, give me a sign, I'll add as an administrator.
Jos.

Hi,
I get the following error when invoking gotmail (which includes the patch from https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1777770&group_id=96810&atid=615991)
$ ./gotmail-0.9.0/gotmail --verbosity 1 -c ./tomkralidis.gotmailrc
Gotmail v0.9.0 Copyright (C) 2000-2003 Peter Hawkins
Gotmail comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY.
This is free software, and you are welco.

I started seeing this about 9-Sep-07. If I run lynx on http://www.hotmail.msn.com, I see the following:
"Windows Live ID requires JavaScript to sign in. This web browser
either does not support JavaScript, or scripts are being blocked."
Yet another change to the interface. I notice that you can get in without JavaScript to http://login.live.com/ but you'd have to update other parts of...
