GLE - Graphics Layout Engine Reviews

This is my all time favourite graphics tool. Easy to use, can do almost anything and results are publication quality. I have used GLE to make figures for several articles, created figures for lecture etc. notes, and for web pages.

After having been turned into a nerve wreck by gnuplot, I discovered GLE and accomplished the task that took me 2 days of work in gnuplot (and never completed) in just 1 hour. GLE is easy, flexible and extendable and is a perfect match for LaTeX. The documentation is excellent. It's easy to extend the existing libraries. I created three new components in the electronics.gle library, and it worked in the first 'compile'-attempt.The overall quality of the product is demonstrated by how easy it is to accomplish your tasks, allowing for focus on the real problems you're trying to solve.

Probably the easiest plotting software to use and its LaTeX integration is seamless. 3D graphs need some improvements (mainly visual style) so I recommend the implementation of PLPlot Library (http://plplot.sourceforge.net/index.php).
