Please describe the problem:
When I right-click on an image file to "Edit with the GIMP", the Intuos Wacom
Tablet settings disappear. But if I open The GIMP the usual way, and the open
the image file, the tablet works.
Steps to reproduce:
1. I have an Intuos Wacom 3 tablet. I had installed The GIMP 2.4.0 as root on
Windows XP Pro. I swithed to my own account to try it, baut the stylus...

GIMP cannot open files that contain unicode charaters in their paths when called by an external application (like Windows Explorer).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a file with a name "тестテスト.jpg" or place any of your image files in a folder named "тестテスト".
2. Double click on the file or (if GIMP is not your default application) right click on it and choose "Edit...

I do set the working directory to where gimp-win-remote is launched from. I believe I had to do this, because GIMP wouldn't start correctly. Now this was way back in the GIMP 1.x days. I'll have to look at this a bit further.

This is something the maintainer of the installer needs to do. Please let him know.
Here's how:
------
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache]
"C:\\Program Files\\GIMP-2.0\\bin\\gimp-win-remote.exe"="The GIMP"
---
I only tested this under Vista.

Some of my image files are set to open with several apps.
Eg Windows associates jpegs with both Internet Explorer and GIMP.
However, in the File -> Open With submenu, it says 'gimp-win-remote'. This is
ugly and should be replaced with the application's correct name.

If I launch GIMP on Windows from the Start menu, create a new image, then save
it, the default folder shown is My Pictures, which seems a fair enough choice.
However, if I open an image from Windows Explorer, and then create a new image
in GIMP and go to save the new image, the default folder is 'GIMP 2.0\bin'. I
then have to navigate my way back out of this folder.
