Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me with settings for the Canon Pixma ix4000.
Although a reasonably good printer, it seems that Canon have in there wisdom written their drivers to allow the black ink to be used for text only. So all images are CMY, with no way to over-ride the settings, and rather flat, grey dark areas, particularly noticeable on B&W images. I can't think of a better candidate...

I'd like to share my Awful, but at-the-end successful experience in setting up my Epson Stylus DX6000 USB Multifunction printer, with an IMac running OS 10.4.11.

I doubt we'd be able to integrate them as is; the structure's probably too different, and furthermore, this code is licensed under GPLv2 only (Gutenprint is licensed as GPLv2+). However, I've assigned this to our Canon driver maintainer for evaluation.

Canon release opensource drivers for his printer, i think it would be great to integrate them into gutemprint (i've try to compile them without any success).
