The Italian translation shipped with the last tarball is not complete and presents a couple of errors.
I'm attaching the updated Italian translation done by the Ubuntu Italian Translators.
Thanks.

There is a typo in the german localization, de.po:
line 51 the correct translation must be "%s hat sich abgemeldet".

Hi,
I have attached an updated translation for Romanian. This is the LP export.
I am a GNONE and Ubuntu translator for Romanian.

Rather than using the logic in the best_name functionality. libnotify should be using the built-in functionality of pidgin. There is already a function purple_buddy_get_contact_alias which returns the correct alias.
The reason I found this is because the notification is returning the screenname rather than the Contact's alias which should have precedence.
The documentation for this function...

I would also like to see an exclusion/inclusion list, but I think it would be much easier to manage if it was oriented around the "buddy groups." I have a lot of contacts, so it would be much easier for me to be able to say "this group has a high priority, so always show all events for them" or to say "this group has a really low priority, so don't show any events.".

Ok, so this isn't that useful for most people maybe, but when I suspend/unsuspend my laptop, it takes a few minutes for old connections to timeout, so it'd be nice to have notifications showing me when I have reconnected.

I think this is a great idea as well. Even just having some basic notification of the form
"New Message - Senders name - Unread message count"
Would be great, rather than having the message content in the notification.

i'm using the 'Ignore 2.2.0' plugin to ignore a relay bot in irc and jabber chat. the ignore works, but it seems that the libnotify plugin is placed before the ignore handler so there is still a notify popup everytime i write :-)
i think that the notify plugin should be the last handler so other plugins could preprocess the message first.

I would also prefer having an exclusion-inclusion list, or maybe it could be done as a per-user basis (guifications have this option, but that doesn't work with ubuntu's new notify-osd).
